President

Dan Thorogood is the President and CEO of Seabulk and a VP of SEACOR Holdings Inc, Seabulk’s parent company. Seabulk is a leading Jones Act tanker and harbor towing owner/operator and a provider of U.S flag ship management services headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He is also responsible for SEACOR's short-sea shipping, and logistics investments and serves as the Chairman of Trailer Bridge Inc. Prior to commencing his current role in 2009, Mr. Thorogood served in SEACOR'S international offshore marine services division on operational and commercial assignments before moving to SEACOR's corporate group in a business development capacity. He has experience supporting company re-organizations and M&A activities. Mr. Thorogood is a graduate of University College, London.

Mike Lowry

VP, HR & Labor Relations

Mike Lowry is the VP of HR and Labor Relations for Seabulk and also supports SEACOR’s corporate HR function. He joined SEACOR in 2008 and oversees Labor Relations, Human Resources, and Benefits. He has over 20 years of experience in HR, including managing labor union agreements in the maritime industry and overseeing and implementing HR compliance.

Mr. Lowry holds the title Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute and Senior Certified Professional (SCP) from the Society for Human Resources Management. Mr. Lowry obtained a bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University and a master’s degree from Florida International University.

Ron Miller is the Controller for Seabulk and brings over 30 years of professional experience to his role in overseeing and providing leadership for financial activities including financial reporting, financial planning and analysis for multiple businesses and joint ventures. He has experience in M&A, including the integration of accounting protocols and processes. Prior to joining Seabulk in 2003, Mr. Miller worked as an Assistant Controller for RPM International Inc. in New Jersey. Mr. Miller has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Messiah College.

Jorge Del Rey is the VP of Commercial Management overseeing Ocean Transportation and Port Services where he is responsible for the group’s commercial day to day and longer term strategic commercial activities.

Previously, he served as a marine engineer at ConocoPhillips (Polar Tankers), before joining Seabulk in 2009 in a technical shore-side role. Mr. Del Rey holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the State University of New York Maritime Academy.

Lena Piazza

Lena Piazza is the VP of Engineering overseeing newbuilding and capital projects. Previously, she held multiple senior operational positions at major cruise lines, including Royal Caribbean Group and Norwegian Cruise Line, leading technical and newbuilding teams and executing multi-million-dollar projects. Ms. Piazza holds a B.S. in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the United States Coast Guard Academy where she served as a Lieutenant and has an MBA and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami.
